good and bad

Some times I wonder if the world is going to hell in a handbasket or what? I seek to understand others, and there are thoses that seek to understand me. And perhaps like these angels it is too much to seek to understand differances when tolerance is the key. To see what is the same between us rather than what is differant.

new styles of learning

I have been in another course investigating Dr. Stein's new class that is gaming for Composition. For those that are familiar with games such as D&D it is a die 10 system with very basic mechanics. I found it interesting and as a young college or high school student this method would have driven me. It has great potential to be used for history as well. Have any of you seen it. called Language Force X????

the flu

Despite my best efforts I caught it
I was in oklahoma at my mothers house which is so old fashioned that the internet is not there, visiting my kids for the weekend and ended up there till today because i got sick. I could not get to a computer to do any home work because this nasty strain is evil i was bed ridden... still suffering and i even got a shot ugh.

so it hurts somemore

My baby was gone this afternoon I checked her cage to clean it and she wasn't there I have had her two years yesterday she was just a little baby. Some how she got out of her cage she is no where in the house, the chance that she got out is slim but possible I have asked the neighbors and no one saw a thing. So a domesticated snake will have a hard time hunting on its own not to mention that its freezing here and she needs upwards of 80 degree temps
So I have a heart break because I have to face that my baby is gone. It hurts a lot, I should stop here before I go too far.

movies make me nuts

I love movies but there are ones that I take a risk on and i feel like it was a complete waist of time. So to prevent my readers from making the same mistakes i shall post about them.
This week there is the new written produced and directed as well as stared in by Van Disel called STRAYS there was no action at all, it was about a drug dealer that falls in love with a woman that is not familiar with his lifestyle. He has many friends they are quite diverse which is switch they are the strays.
then there is the movie "Shoot EM up" well it was on be of those pointless plots with some decent lines thrown in. It seems to be after the same style as Kill Bill but without a plot that can be determined. lots and lots of action and death, it has a Quitin feel.

This day was softer

Today I sent my children a package that has stamps, pen, and envelopes. To the oldest I gave a decorated notebook. I sent the youngest what is called a story pad. It is half blank paper and half with lines so that she can both draw and write. and a card to each of them from mommy. I hope they get it soon and that they like it. I call them every other night just to see how they are but i thought this might help to bring us closer to each other.
I miss them a lot today. Classes are going well. Spanish is quite a challenge for me. Even though I am living in a primarily Spanish speaking community. They say that there comes a moment when it will all suddenly make sense. I hope so.
